They are eventually assisted by Alfred, who had finally been convinced by Bruce to take a long-overdue vacation, coincidentally right as things popped off with Batman’s latest enemy. Naturally, he has such an event planned out to the letter, and the Gotham Knights as they might be called consist of several of Batman’s proteges – Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood round out the cast of playable characters. Bruce Wayne is given a hero’s death, taking out a powerful adversary when he sees there are no other options.
The Batman is no more, something the Gotham Knights makes sure you understand with its opening cinematic. Gotham Knights launches on 21 October 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.Slight spoiler warning here, but if you’re been paying any attention to this game, then you’ll know the main plot point. In related news, an epic cinematic trailer for Gotham Knights was released earlier this week along with the full trophy list (though beware of potential spoilers in the trophy descriptions). The shadowy organisation known as the Court of Owls have risen in the wake of his passing and it’s up to the team to stop them and get to the bottom of Batman’s demise. It follows the Batfamily consisting of Red Hood, Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl as they deal with the aftermath of Bruce Wayne/Batmans supposed death.

With the release date just around the corner, we’ll likely see more information drop including the initial reviews once the embargo breaks. Games has been pushing the marketing for Gotham Knights, giving us plenty of trailers, gameplay and even hands-on time for select media outlets over the past few months leading up to its launch. Additionally, players will be able to pre-load the game starting on 19 October, just two days before its release. Reliable Twitter account PlayStation Game Size revealed that Gotham Knights will take up around 41.030GB of space for version 1.002.000, at least on PS5, though we can presumably expect a similar file size for Xbox Series X/S and PC as well. This initial download size also doesn’t factor in a potential day one patch, which might add to that size.
While it’s still a decently sizeable download at 41.030GB for PS5, it’s also par for the course when it comes to AAA releases today. The PlayStation download size for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world superhero action game from Warner Bros.
